Cherry Hinton Community Choir meet at Cherry Hinton Baptist Church to sing pop, soul and gospel songs, and songs from shows. It's free to attend, no previous singing experience is required and there are no auditions.

What to expect
Cherry Hinton Community Choir is open to all adults who enjoy singing. They get together on Monday evenings during term time, from 7.30-9pm, and sing a selection of songs from various musical traditions. There are two short breaks during the evening, giving everyone time to chat.
The choir is led by the church minister who has many years of experience leading people in singing, from informal get-togethers to chapel choirs to school assemblies. Around 50 people of a range of ages regularly attend. The organisers don't expect people to be able to make it to every session.
Most members of the choir come from Cherry Hinton, but anyone in Cambridge or beyond is welcome to join.
There is no need to book ahead - just turn up and give it a try! You can go along alone or with a friend, you will find a warm welcome and introductions to other members of the choir. If you have any questions beforehand you are welcome to email the church administrator on [email protected].

There is some parking in the Family Centre opposite the main church building and some on Fishers Lane. The building is wheel-chair accessible and there are disabled toilets close to where the singing happens.
Carers and support people are welcome to attend and either join in or watch.
The choir ends each term with an open rehearsal, to which singers invite friends and family to hear what they have been singing. Other than these open rehearsals the choir does not perform.
The choir is free to attend, but they welcome donations which go towards the cost of the songs, heating and lighting.
Donations can be cash or card.
