CJ’s School of Dance

Back to Activities

CJ’s School of Dance offers tuition in Ballroom, Latin and Sequence dancing to adults at all levels from absolute beginner to advanced. You'll receive a warm welcome and expert tuition in a relaxed, friendly and fun environment.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • Ballroom dancing is a social activity which can improve confidence and well-being;
  • It’s a continuous conditioning exercise for better flexibility and posture;
  • It has many other benefits for physical and mental health.

“Clive’s classes are great fun and provide a great environment for dancers of all levels to learn and progress.”

What to expect

All classes are taught by Clive and Jenny, who offer a warm welcome to everyone – especially people who think that they have two left feet! For all classes it is essential to book with a partner who you will stay with throughout the sessions (you do not rotate partners in the classes).

You need to pre-book onto a course of lessons which is usually around six weeks, corresponding with school term times. Details of all the classes can be found on the CJ’s School of Dance website. To express interest or book on the next set of classes, complete the form on their website or email [email protected].

If you are a beginner you should sign up for the next ‘Absolute Beginners’ course where you will be taught the basic steps in waltz, social foxtrot, tango, cha cha cha and jive.

All classes are all held in venues with parking nearby – visit the website for more information.
