Coffee Morning - Petersfield Area Community Trust (PACT)

Back to Activities

PACT run a weekly drop-in coffee morning at Mill Road Community Centre. People of all ages are welcome to join for tea, coffee, homemade cake and a good natter.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • It can help you to meet people in your local area, combatting isolation;
  • It provides a reason to get out and about once a week;
  • It's a great place to meet with friends, or have a moment to yourself.

"I love the sessions because I get to meet people, and I feel a sense of purpose, which in turn is beneficial for my mental health."

What to expect

The coffee morning is held in the hall at Mill Road Community Centre every Tuesday morning between 10am and midday. The session is a drop-in, so you can arrive at any time. You will need to ring the bell on the outside of the building, and one of the friendly volunteers will let you in.

There is always a selection of teas and coffees available, as well as homemade cakes. They offer non-dairy milk and frequently have a gluten free cake on offer too.

The sessions are a relaxed environment, some people bring their knitting or other crafts with them to occupy their hands while they chat. They welcome all ages, so you can come with your baby, or baby group, and you can sit down while someone makes you a drink and brings you cake!
