What to expect
The craft group meets at Barnwell Road Library on Tuesdays at around 12noon. All adults are welcome to join. Attendees bring their own projects to work on. Current projects include colouring, jewellery making, crochet, knitting and cross stitch but other crafts are welcome too! Group members are very happy to help with the nuances of any crafts they have experience with.
Tea and coffee are provided, and there are often also treats to share such as cake, biscuits or fruit. You are also welcome to bring your own refreshments if you wish - for example to meet particular dietary requirements.
The group is run by Merna Kincaid. When you arrive Merna will greet you, show you where to sit and introduce you to the other members. There are currently around six members attending regularly.
There's no need to book ahead, you can just go along. But if you would like to let Merna know to expect you, or you have any special requirements, you can email [email protected].
You are very welcome to bring a carer, friend or social prescriber along with you. If required Merna would be happy to meet you outside and accompany you into the building.
There is no pressure to attend the group regularly, just go along when you can. Each session lasts around two hours, you are welcome to arrive and leave at any time.

Barnwell Road Library is accessible to those with disabilities. Parking is extremely limited - there is a car park for the library which operates on a first come, first served basis.
The craft group is for adults only, children are not catered for.
There are no public toilets at the library and dogs are not welcome in the library.
It is free to attend the group and refreshments are provided free of charge.
