Homeless and Vulnerably Housed Football

Back to Activities

Phil Mullen runs free weekly football sessions for people who are homeless or vulnerably housed. The sessions are for people aged 16+ of all levels of ability. Football is for everyone, and this group aims to make the game accessible to those facing barriers.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • It’s a friendly group where you can meet new people and enjoy playing football without judgement;
  • There is a proven link between exercise and improved quality of life;
  • Players often comment on the importance of the community and friendships developed playing sport.

What to expect

Sessions are held on Tuesday lunchtimes 1.30 - 2.30pm outside on Parker's Piece. Meet outside Hobbs Pavilion.

There is no need to commit to coming every week, just come when you can. For more information contact Phil.
