Knit and Natter sessions at Cambridge Manor Care Home are open to residents and the wider community. Everyone is welcome, from complete beginners to experienced knitters. The group is free to attend, all materials are provided and there is complimentary tea, coffee and cake.
This activity is good for wellbeing because
- it provides an opportunity to chat with other people which can reduce loneliness;
- knitting is a great way to focus on something – many find it relaxing and meditative;
- you can learn new skills – or develop existing ones – which can give you a confidence boost.
