LGBTQ+ Inclusive Football – Cambridge United Foundation

Back to Activities

Cambridge United Foundation run safe and inclusive weekly football sessions for the LGBTQ+ community. The sessions are for people aged 16+ of all levels of ability. Football is for everyone and this group particularly welcomes anyone who may have felt excluded in the past.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • It’s a friendly group where you can meet new people and enjoy playing football without judgement;
  • There is a proven link between exercise and improved quality of life;
  • Players often comment on the importance of the community and friendships developed playing sport.

What to expect

Sessions are held at Coleridge Community College on Wednesday evenings. There is no need to commit to coming every week, just come when you can. There is some parking by the sports centre on the Coleridge school grounds. You will need to wear sports clothes and appropriate footwear for football.

You can find out more and book your place on the Official Soccer Schools website
