Rock Choir

Back to Activities

Rock Choir is a contemporary choir with an emphasis on fun, friendship and community spirit. They meet weekly to sing feel-good pop, rock and contemporary songs. You don't need to read music and there are no auditions!

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • Group singing is a joyous experience which can boost your mood and reduce stress;
  • Learning and performing new songs can help build your self-confidence;
  • It’s a great way of meeting people, socialising and forming new friendships – both at rehearsals and social events.

I was so nervous walking into the room for my taster session. But I loved the energy of the choir and the zesty supportive enthusiasm of the Choir Leader. I’m so glad I signed up because I have made some lovely friends.”
