Tea Pots & Flower Pots

Back to Activities

Tea Pots & Flower Pots is a group for adults where you can go along for a spot of gardening, sowing seeds, planting or relaxing with a cuppa and make new friends. The group is run by the charity Abbey People.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • You can spend time outside and connect with nature;
  • You can meet local people and relax in the community garden;
  • You can learn new gardening skills and tips.

What to expect

Tea Pots & Flower Pots runs on the first Friday of the month at the East Barnwell Community Centre from 1pm - 3pm. All adults are welcome to go along, and no gardening experience is required. The first time you attend the organisers will introduce you to the group and show you around the Community Garden.

Hot drinks and biscuits are provided, and you are welcome to bring your own refreshments if you wish.

Attendees are welcome to join for the full two hours or stay for part of the session. There is no need to book, you can just go along on the day. But if you would like to let the organisers know to expect you, contact [email protected].
