The Collaboration Choir

Back to Activities

The Collaboration Choir is an adult community choir open to everyone from experienced singers to complete beginners. They meet each week to sing a variety of pop songs that "make your toes tap and your heart soar". You don't need to read music and there are no auditions!

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • singing is proven to reduce stress and it releases endorphins which make you feel good
  • it’s a great way of meeting people, socialising and forming new friendships
  • you will keep your brain active by learning song lyrics and building new musical skills

“Singing in a choir is a perfect example of collaboration. A collection of individual voices creating a beautiful sound. The buzz you get as part of a choir is truly uplifting and that is hugely important to my well-being.”

What to expect?

The choir meets weekly during term time. The friendly group leader will support you to relax, unwind and belt out some amazing tunes!

Everyone is welcome, even if you have no singing experience, and have never tried anything like this before. You can expect to feel nurtured and inspired!

Book onto a taster session to give it a try.

Wear something comfortable and easy to move in – as singing is a whole body experience. Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated.
