The EDGE Recovery Café

Back to Activities

The Edge is a social enterprise run to provide a welcoming and supportive community space, with a vibrant café at its heart. It runs a range of activities and groups that anyone can get involved with, as well as offering work experience and volunteering opportunities.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • You can try new activities, join a variety of groups or sessions, and learn new skills.
  • You can belong to a community and make new friends
  • You can help others and enjoy delicious teas and cakes at the same time.

‘The Edge is a wonderful place where I can come and relax. I always meet new friendly people and enjoy a fantastic breakfast.’

The Edge Café runs an exciting and varied programme of workshops for the community. Recent sessions have included crafting, chess, tai chi, creative writing and drumming. There are also several Recovery Support Groups that meet weekly. All groups and activities are free.

View the latest events schedule on the Edge Café website for details of all these activities.

The EDGE Café also operates a community fridge. It operates on a ‘take what you need, and give what you can’ policy.

Cake, coffees, breakfasts and lunches can all be purchased from the café.
