The Fitzwilliam Museum is a beautiful building filled with displays of artwork and historical artefacts from around the world. Spend a peaceful few hours exploring the exhibits, and you are sure to find things which surprise, inspire and fascinate you! Entry is free.

What to expect?

The Fitzwilliam houses over half a million beautiful works of art, masterpiece paintings and historical artefacts.

There is also a shop and the Courtyard Café where you can buy hot and cold beverages and a selection of meals and snacks.

Visiting the Museum

The Museum is open six days a week. Walk-up tickets are available or you can book in advance on their website to avoid queuing. 

The Museum building is located on Trumpington Street. There is no visitor parking available, and it is advised to travel by public transport or use Park & Ride.

There are two entrances to the Fitzwilliam Museum. The main entrance (Founders Entrance) which has steps, and the Courtyard entrance which is step-free. The videos below demonstrate how to enter using these two entrances:
