Form the Future work with students to help them develop employability skills and careers awareness. They are seeking volunteers to go into schools and carry out mock interviews with people aged 14-17 to help prepare them for the world of work.
This activity is good for wellbeing because
- You get the chance to meet other volunteers, get out of the house and visit different schools;
- You can boost your own confidence in interview skills and get some practice for whenever you might next have a job interview;
- You get to support a young person through an important learning experience and boost their confidence in speaking with adults.

What to expect?
Volunteers visit different schools and facilitate a mock interview activity with students aged 14-17, as part of an employability skills session. The activity typically lasts between 2-3 hours.
Anyone can volunteer as a mock interviewer, previous experience of interviewing isn’t required. Form the Future will provide you with a short preparation session in advance of your day volunteering and a staff member will be on hand at all times to lend further support.
The mock interviews are free to attend and Form the Future can reimburse travel expenses up to a set amount (contact them for details) for volunteers to travel to schools.
