Yoga Bright

Back to Activities

Yoga classes for all bodies, ages and abilities including chair yoga; baby and postnatal yoga; adventurous baby yoga and regular yoga. Led by Lisa Broad with classes in Waterbeach, Girton and Arbury in Cambridge.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • yoga brings calm to the mind as it will help you feel more ‘present’ – a proven way to de-stress;
  • it’s a great way to exercise – building strength and flexibility;
  • Lisa aims to create a sense of community through her classes by providing a supportive space for everyone.

“I really enjoy Lisa’s yoga classes; she is very knowledgeable, and I also appreciate her choice of music. Every time I leave, I feel very relaxed.”

What to expect

Lisa is a mum of three and dedicated yogi, having used yoga as a path to strength and healing in her own life.

She offers a range of classes in several different venues in South Cambs and Cambridge. If you are a complete beginner, there is ‘Stretch & Release Yoga’ where you can learn a series of core postures. Or if you are a new mum, there’s ‘Baby & Postnatal Yoga’ or ‘Adventurous Baby Yoga’ for crawling and walking infants. ‘Chair Yoga’ is suitable for anyone, but is particularly aimed at those with limited mobility, if you are an older person or are recovering from injury.

To find out more about each class, as well as where and when they take place, visit the Yoga Bright website.

Lisa’s guidance as a yoga facilitator is trauma-informed.

More information

Classes last for one hour and should be booked in advance via this link. Lisa also organises one-off events (for example, yoga and gong bath sessions for relaxation) – follow her Facebook page to find out more.

Wear comfortable clothing and bring water, just in case you get thirsty. Many people prefer to do yoga barefoot but you can wear socks with grips if that is more comfortable. Lisa can provide yoga mats or you can bring your own.

All venues have toilets, parking and baby changing facilities.

Classes can be paid for individually (book via this link) but there are discounts if you buy a block of classes in advance. Baby and postnatal classes in Arbury, Cambridge are subsidised.
