What to expect
Cambridge Dial-a-Ride can take you to the main shopping areas in Cambridge, drive you to visit friends or relatives and to doctors or dental surgeries, health centres or to a hairdresser’s appointment. Many people also use the service to go to day centres or community groups.
Cambridge Dial-a-Ride also collects groups of people from local areas to travel to the big food supermarkets in the city, including Tesco in Milton, Sainsbury's on Coldhams Lane and and Tesco in Cherry Hinton/Fulbourn - find the current timetable here.
Cambridge Dial-a-Ride offers outward and return journeys to outpatient appointments by booking an estimated return time that can often be amended on the day should you finish your appointment earlier or later.
They also regularly transport groups to social occasions and to excursions. This enables groups to visit and undertake activities they may not ordinarily be able to do.
Please note that journeys are mostly Monday to Friday with some group trips on Saturdays to places of interest such as Hunstanton and Felixstowe in the summer months.

Cambridge Dial-a-Ride minibuses are equipped to make it easier for everybody to use them. All buses have lifts for wheelchair users and those who have difficulty using steps.
Drivers stop as near as possible to your front door so that you can wait in the comfort and safety of your home. Drivers will also help to get you safely to and from the bus, and they are happy to carry any bags you may want to take with you, or to help you carry your shopping in to your house. You only have to let the driver know what assistance you need.
