Everyturn Mental Health NHS Talking Therapies is a free and confidential short-term therapy service available to anyone aged 17 and over living in the Peterborough and Cambridgeshire area. They are part of the national NHS Talking Therapies Service

Everyturn Mental Health offers help to people who are experiencing common mental health problems, such as:

  • Low mood or depression
  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Insomnia
  • Phobias
  • Long term health conditions

You don't need to have a GP referral to Everyturn Mental Health. To access therapy, you can self-refer via their chatbot by clicking here. Or, if you prefer to arrange a self-referral over the phone, you can ring them on 0300 555 0888 or email peterborough@everyturn.org

Everyturn Mental Health has therapists with a range of different training and specialist skills so that they can provide the appropriate support for your particular needs. They offer therapy over the telephone, by video call and face to face in selected venues.

Therapies include:

  • SilverCloud (online therapy course)
  • CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy)
  • Counselling
  • EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing)
  • Interpersonal therapy (IPT)
  • Couple's counselling for depression

24/7 mental health text line help

If you live, work or study in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire, you can text HEAR to 85258 to receive free and confidential text-based mental health crisis support, 24/7, 365 days a year.

You’ll be connected to a mental health clinician who will take you from a place of crisis to a place of calm. During the conversation, you’ll be supported and signposted to local and national mental health support.

Launched by NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough and in partnership with the national service SHOUT, the free to use text service HEAR 85258 provides real-time support to people of all ages who are struggling with their mental health.

If you feel your or somebody’s life is at risk due to their mental health, dial 111 and then select the option for the mental health crisis team.
