Family and Friends Support from CRS

Back to Support

The Cambridgeshire Recovery Service (CRS) provide opportunities for mutual aid for friends and family who are supporting loved ones through the recovery process. It provides a chance to meet with others in a relaxed setting.

CRS provide a safe and open space to enable those in all stages of recovery to learn from and support each other.  They recognise the importance of community and connection in recovery, all their groups being led by a mix of staff and trained volunteers, most of whom have lived experience and all of whom believe passionately in helping others heal from addiction.

More Information

Supporting a loved one in recovery can be challenging.  The Cambridgeshire Recovery Service understands this and provides support to affected others.  Part of that support is mutual aid groups.  These groups are for friends and family of those in any stage of addiction or recovery.  The meetings are held over Zoom and led by a team of volunteers and a CRS recovery coach. They are an opportunity to meet and chat with others who may be having similar experiences and to provide a safe, supportive and none judgemental space.
