The Invigorate programme is a range of free and low-cost activity sessions aiming to help anybody who is experiencing anxiety, depression or other mental ill health. Most of the sessions take place near the city centre. A trainer will be present at all sessions to help encourage you to be physically active and to have a go.
Activities on offer include:
- Multi-sport sessions
- Tai chi
- Yoga for Health
- Wellbeing walks
- Guided walks around Cambridge University Botanic Garden
Some of the sessions are free to attend and others have a small charge. You are welcome to bring friends, family or support workers with you to any of the activities – they will need to pay the same as you do, if there is a charge.
You can sign up to become a member of the Invigorate scheme for free. Joining means that you will be kept up to date about future sessions. It also entitles you to a free Better card, which gives you a 50% discount at some gyms and pools.
There are also a range of online fitness courses on the Get Moving Cambridge website which you can access at any time. The courses are free, but you do need to sign up using the online form:
All are free or have a minimal cost.
