Back to Support

The Karim Foundation provides food, fuel and emergency support for people in financial hardship in Cambridge, irrespective of their background.

What to expect

The Karim Foundation is committed to supporting all groups in need, including refugees and asylum seekers, residents and migrants from ethnic minority backgrounds, single parents, the disabled, children and young people, the elderly, those who are isolated or with no recourse to public funds, and those facing domestic violence.

Anyone experiencing financial hardship can get in touch with the Karim Foundation by completing the contact form on their website, or by calling the helpdesk on 07931 217429.

More information

Local individuals and families who come forward for help will first be asked about their current circumstances and financial situation. This information will be carefully assessed by the Karim Foundation. Emergency financial support will only be provided to those who are in urgent need where they are struggling to buy food, heat their homes or pay their bills. If anyone is having problems with topping up their gas and electricity as a result of financial hardship, they should contact their energy supplier first. The Karim Foundation can only help with gas and electricity if the need is extremely urgent.
