Nessie aims to empower parents/carers to support their child or young person's mental health. We can help with anxiety, school avoidance, self-harming behaviours, and many other challenges. Our team is made up of experienced professionals, many of whom have lived experience.

Available Throughout Cambridge
After self-referral, you will hear from them within 2 weeks. You can expect a friendly, listening ear from their experienced, non-judgemental team. You don’t need anything but yourself to access 1:1 support. You will need a device with an internet connection to access their online events.
The aim of this work is to help parents/carers in developing a positive and more confident approach to supporting their young person, whilst offering a chance to gain peer support, useful strategies and practical tools.
Areas of support include, but are not limited to:
- Anxiety
- Bereavement and Loss (including divorce and separation)
- Bullying
- Eating Disorders (in collaboration with PEDS)
- LGBTQ+ and Gender Questioning
- School Avoidance
- Self Harm
- Managing Meltdowns

This service is free to parents and carers of those living within Cambridgeshire and Peterborough struggling with mental health challenges and/or self harming behaviours.
