What to expect

DASS is centred on practical, person-led support, empowering survivors to make informed decisions at their own pace while increasing safety and reducing the impact of domestic abuse. They recognise that every individual's experience is unique, and tailor their support to meet their identified needs and goals.

DASS offers support with:

• Personalised safety planning and risk management.
• Housing advice, including homelessness prevention and exploring safe accommodation options.
• Advocacy with partner agencies, including housing, health, social care and the police.
• Referrals to specialist services.
• Practical and emotional support at court hearings where capacity allows.
• Signposting to specialist services, including counselling, mental health, substance misuse and other community resources.

DASS works collaboratively with statutory and voluntary sector partners to ensure survivors receive coordinated, holistic support while remaining at the centre of all decision-making. Their approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based and focused on helping individuals improve their safety, regain independence and build sustainable outcomes.

DASS supports people of all genders, backgrounds, religions and abilities who have an identified practical support need related to domestic abuse. They support people across Cambridge City, South Cambridgeshire, East Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire and Fenland.

Referrals can be made by professionals or individuals themselves through the online referral forms found on the Impakt website or by contacting the service directly.
