The Victim and Witness Hub supports victims and witnesses of crime across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, from report to court and beyond. They are an independent and confidential service, using Cambridgeshire Constabulary police staff who coordinate a bespoke support package.

Victims and witnesses of any crime are eligible for support, as long as they reside in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. This is regardless of whether or not the crime is reported to police or goes on to a conviction if reported.
What to expect
Referrals can come from a police officer from a reported crime, or from victims or witnesses themselves, even if the victim may not want to report to police for any reason.
You can expect a telephone conversation for the first contact, after which a bespoke support plan will be created which is specifically tailored to you. This may involve supplying you with coping strategies, or assistance in prioritising goals, with regular calls at agreed intervals to gauge progress and to offer a ‘listening ear’.
As support progresses, referral or signposting to other services may be suggested, or face-to-face support from a Specialist Coordinator or a Community Volunteer.
Specialist options include Restorative Justice, and Serious Violence & Outreach.
Please note that there is no drop-in option for the Victim and Witness Hub due to it being located in a secure police building.
