Women’s Create and Chat Group

Back to Support

The Women's Create and Chat Group at the Edge Café is a confidential, friendly space for women to connect and receive peer support. You can also take part in creative activities if you wish. Materials are provided or you can bring your own project along.

What to expect

The group is a supportive space for women aged 16 and over to talk to others and receive empathy and understanding. It runs weekly on Mondays from 1.30-3pm in the Hayman Room at the Edge Café. You are welcome to drop-in and leave at any point during the session.

There is no need to book in advance - just turn up at the café and enter the room where you will be welcomed by the facilitator and invited to take a seat at the table. You can take part in the conversation, or simply listen if you prefer. It is a place to "come and be".

There are craft supplies available if you would like to work on a creative project while you chat, such as colouring, collaging or knitting/crochet. These are not led activities, but a chance to work on your own project. Some women bring along craft projects from home.

You are welcome to bring other female guests and supporters with you to the group.

If you have any questions or would like to talk to someone before attending you can contact [email protected]
