What to expect
Cherry Hinton Village Leisure Centre has the following facilities:
- Sports hall with four badminton courts (suitable for sports including 5-a-side football, netball, basketball and racket sports);
- Small gym with a selection of cardiovascular equipment, dumbbells and weighted core bags;
- Conference room and kitchen.
The centre offers something for all abilities and ages, no prior experience or skills are required.
There are a range of regular group classes including: dance fitness, yoga, aerobics, body conditioning, Pilates and Zumba. You can also rent a badminton court or table tennis table to play with friends or family - equipment is available for hire at the centre.

Several social groups meet at the centre, including:
- Men's Social Group for men aged 55+. Meets every Monday afternoon 2-4pm. Contact the centre for more information.
- Khidmat Sisters - a social group for women. Meets on the first Tuesday of each month from 10.30am-12.30pm. Find out more here.
- Young at Heart Social Club for ladies aged 55+. Meets every Friday afternoon 2-4pm. Contact the centre for more information.
More information
The centre is located in Cherry Hinton, next to the library. Free parking is available to the back of the building. Toilets and baby changing facilities are all accessible, there are no steps or ramps. Pushchairs and assistance dogs are welcome.
A Duty Manager is at the centre during opening hours to answer questions and guide attendees. When you arrive at a booked session they will greet you at reception and sign you in for the class.
You are welcome to drop into the centre to chat to the Duty Manager about your interests and activities you are interested in joining. They will be able to give you a tour of the centre and let you know more information. If you are feeling nervous about attending a group or class the team will be happy to put you in touch with the instructor or service provider in advance.
If you are attending a group or class you are welcome to bring a carer or social prescriber. They are welcome to attend for free.

Cherry Hinton Village Leisure Centre is run by Better, which is is part of GLL, a charitable social enterprise. GLL rub an Healthwise physical activity referral scheme for people who meet certain eligibility criteria. Speak to your GP for more information.
