Creative Cafe at the Junction

Back to Activities

Arts and Minds run a free, drop-in Creative Cafe at Cambridge Junction twice a month. Everyone is welcome to join, particularly those experiencing anxiety, depression or loneliness. It's a great way to connect with others and try something creative in a friendly environment.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • Creative engagement can improve confidence and self-esteem;
  • Creative engagement promotes social connectedness;
  • It provides opportunities for you to experiment with different materials and learn new skills.

“A lovely atmosphere. Everyone very generous and encouraging. Interesting conversations.”

“I enjoyed the calm atmosphere and gentle approach and the fact that it wasn’t crowded.”

What to expect

The Creative Cafe is an informal, drop-in session where you can take part in a creative activity while enjoying a free cuppa and a chat! It’s a relaxed setting where art materials are provided and you can engage with them as much or as little as you like.

Sessions run twice a month in the foyer of Cambridge Junction. Visit the website here for details of days and times. There’s no need to book – just go along!

If you are feeling anxious or nervous about coming to a session you can speak to staff at the Junction, they are happy to show you around the venue beforehand.
