There are several regular activities for the LGBTQ+ community in Cambridge including a community choir, board games social, queer café and social groups for young people. There are also monthly outdoor activities in the wider Cambridgeshire area.

Sing Out Cambridge - LGBTQ+ Community Choir

Cambridge’s best (and only) LGBTQ+ choir! A community choir for all members of the LGBTQ+ community over 18. They are friendly, inclusive and especially welcome queer/trans singers who might feel uncomfortable in other choirs. No auditions, and you don't need to read music. The choir meet weekly during term time on Monday evenings at Downing Place United Reformed Church. Find out more here.

Queer Cafe at Cambridge Central Library

A fortnightly cafe on Saturday mornings at Cambridge Central Library, open to all LGBTQIA+ people aged 18 plus. The library provides a small selection of teas, coffee, hot water and board games, you are welcome to bring other drinks and snacks to enjoy in company. The group meet on the third floor. Look for the pride flags to locate the group! The cafe is free to attend and there's no need to book. Find out more here.

LGBTQIA+ Board Games Social at Cambridge Central Library

A monthly board games social on Saturday afternoons at Cambridge Central Library, open to all LGBTQIA+ people aged 18 plus. Bring your own game or choose from the library's selection. Come with a team or make new friends on the day! Everyone is welcome. Find out more here.

The Kite Trust Youth Groups

The Kite Trust run social groups for LGBTQ+ young people age 13-30. In Cambridge there are two weekly social groups, one for ages 13-18, the other for ages 18-30. Both meet on Wednesday evenings. The groups are safe and friendly sober spaces where you can be yourself, make friends from the local LGBTQ+ community and get involved in fun activities such as games, crafts and cooking. There are also online groups specifically for trans and non-binary, and disabled and neurodiverse young people. All groups are free to attend and open to those LGBTQ+ (or questioning their gender or sexuality). Find out more here.

Gay Outdoor Club Cambridgeshire

The Gay Outdoor Club is an activity club for the LGBTQ+ community. They organise a countryside walk in Cambridgeshire most months, usually around 7-8 miles long. They welcome all LGBTQ+ people over the age of 18. Find out more here.

Jive4All

Jive4All is a charity teaching modern jive - a fun, easy to learn partner dance. There are lessons and a social in Cambridge every Monday evening. They don't define dance roles by gender, so anyone can learn to lead or follow. The group is not exclusively for the LGBTQ+ community, but by breaking down traditional gender stereotypes associated with dance they create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all individuals, regardless of their gender identity or expression.
